What exactly is home staging?
Home staging is the process of preparing a property for sale in the real estate market. Staging includes packing any items that may affect the sale of the property, any repairs or improvements done to the property and the final step is showcasing the features of the property to create a welcoming attractive product that buyers are looking for.
How much will I make on a staged home vs a non- staged home?
According to the National Association of Realtors, after going through staging process (packing, repairs/improvements and showcasing) the potential return is $400 per every $100.00 you invest.
How much does home staging cost?
Our staging consultation packages start at $275. Where our home staging packages start at $700 and can increases up to $2,500 depending on the property and what is required for the property ei. rentals, labour, delivery/ pick up.
Why should I have a consultation done?
A professional home stager will provide you with an unbiased review of your property through the eyes of prospective buyers. We are constantly up-to-date with what buyers are looking for in today's market as well as bringing forward all the years of experience and knowledge we have gained in having the best possible outcome.
Do I have to clean and pre pack items before the staging consult?
Please don't. You don’t need to prepare or pre-pack before your staging consultation. During the consultation we will provide you with our recommendations for the areas that require pre packing and cleaning attention. If you have already started the pre packing process, be sure to set aside any non-personal decorative items that we may be able to work back into your staging plan.
Do I have to implement all recommendations from the consult?
You don’t have to do any of them, should you choose! However, the more you complete, the better your chances are for maximizing the sell of your home. We understand that some of the recommendations may not fit your timeframe and/or budget, but we do suggest that you aim for a minimum of 85% of all suggestions. All recommendations provided are based on our knowledge of buyer expectations and the adjustments that will best appeal to them. How much you choose to do is up to you; however most of our clients implement approximately 90% of our recommendations with proven results.
Should you leave a room vacant?
A vacant room actually looks smaller than a room with the appropriate sized furniture, lighting, colour, layers, and focal points. Statistically only 10% of buyers can visualize what the room can look like and if their current furniture will fit.
